For the 8th consecutive year, The TriFactory brings back its flagship event — the Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon — across the weekend of 11–12 December 2026.
Three race distances are on offer, all starting and finishing on the Giza plateau with the Great Pyramids as a permanent backdrop:
Race categories
- 5K — open to all ages, walkers welcome
- 10K — for intermediate runners, chip-timed
- 21K Half Marathon — flagship event, certified course
All finishers receive a bespoke medal, a Marakez race shirt and free entry to the post-race village. Charity bibs raise funds for education programmes in Upper Egypt.

Warm December mornings are ideal for running — start line opens 06:30.
Bring layers for the post-race medal ceremony; mornings start at 12°C.
